Announcing TLC 2013: The Leadership Connection a day-long training event centered around a variety of learning and growth opportunities for church leaders. The GLC Leadership Connection (TLC) was instituted to address the felt needs of the churches in the area of leadership. Feedback from GLC church leaders expressed a need for "missional leaders" and that growing missional leaders was a necessity for a church to have missional momentum. I have attached the brochures and registration forms for all three TLCs. In them you will see we are offering "best practice" workshops for chairpersons/senior pastors, mission and evangelism team leaders, adult Christian formation leaders, women's ministry leaders, financial officers, committee chairs, pastoral relations committee members, children's ministry leaders, youth ministry leaders, and leaders who feel called to develop or strengthen ministries of compassion, mercy and justice. We anticipate a day filled with excellent teaching, vibrant conversations between people who serve in similar roles in their respective churches, and wonderful fellowship among our partners in the gospel in every part of our conference. We hope to see all of the GLC churches represented at one of the three TLC events. Register Here: TLC East, October 19 - Zion Covenant Church, Jamestown, NY;TLC West, Oct. 26 - Thornapple Ev. Cov. Church, Grand Rapids, MI;TLC South, Nov. 23 - Redeemer Church, Hamilton, OH (near Cincinnati). Both church staff and lay leaders are welcome and encouraged to come, but the main focus of the day will be on equipping lay leaders (of all ages). Our prayer is that your leaders will leave the day better equipped and inspired to lead at a whole new level in your church. If you have any questions, please call the conference office at 734-451-4670. Jody Eidnes
