Seeding

Principles

The Seeding Stage is the beginning of the process of reproduction.  Here we look for people who are connected in their communities, are excited about Jesus, and are available to start something new.

Bench Marks[1]

1.     Identify New Hosts

2.     Initial Conversations sharing ideas

3.     Connecting with existing CGs and CGPs

4.     Develop a list of potential participants in the new CG

Incubation

Principles

The Incubation Stage begins the formation process.  Here we take more time with the new Hosts to teach the DNA of C3.  We begin to explain and model the basic practices of the Community Group.

Bench Marks

1.     The Host understands and is compatible with the Vision and DNA of C3.

2.     The Hosts have identified helpers

3.     The Hosts have identified initial contacts

4.     The Hosts have committed to an initial start plan (i.e. ALPHA)

5.     Hosts are committed to basic practices

6.     Hosts are committed to CORE

3.     Participation in CORE

4.     Modeling group gatherings

5.     Developing Relationships with hosts and leadership

Birth

Principles

The Birth Stage sees the emergence of the new group.  Here the group begins to meet regularly and put in to practice the DNA.

Bench Marks

1.     Group is meeting regularly

2.     Group is committed to an outreach strategy (i.e. ALPHA)

3.     First New Life

4.     Group is working out the DNA of C3

5.     Group is giving financially

6.     Group is finding ways to connect with the greater network

Growth

Principles

The Growth Stage stabilizes the group.  The patterns are solidified and new leadership is established.

3.     Regular new life and mission

4.     Leadership participation in CORE

5.     Regular Participation with other CGs

Reproduction

Principles

The Reproduction Stage leads to new life.  The group prayerfully prepares and sends key leaders into new mission fields.

3.     Commitment to supporting new group birth

Ending

Principles

The death stage is a natural part of life.  Here we celebrate the life, ministry, and reproduction of the group and graciously let it rest.

4.     Placement of members in other groups
