Parable Walk

Parable Walk Introduction

This is another way to pray and meditate. For many, being in nature opens spiritual doorways that are otherwise difficult to crack. When we take our prayer to the created world, often we find ourselves reminded who we are in relation to the God of the Universe: small, but precious children of that Creator. We stand in amazement that while we are part of the created order, perhaps having more in common with an earthworm than the God to whom we try to relate, we are sought after and loved, singled out and cared for.

Lord, Our Lord,

How majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory

Above the heavens.

When I consider the heavens,

the work of your fingers,

the moon and the stars,

which you have set in place,

what are mere mortals that you are mindful of them,

human beings that you care for them?

Psalm 8: 1, 3-4

There are countless lessons to be learned from creation and if we go with Jesus and ask his Spirit to teach us, we won’t come back empty handed. Go in peace and learn from Jesus.
