Finance Update

Dear Friends and Partners of C3,

Summer is finally upon us.  Each year giving tends to dip during the summer months as many of us spend vacation time away from our church home.  This year, however, we are heading into summer’s dog days in a particularly precarious position.

The hard reality is that giving has been lagging behind our budgeted expenses throughout the spring.  In fact, we are almost $6000 short of where we need to be in terms of offerings thus far in 2011.  So far we have kept our heads above water by keeping our expenditures to the absolute minimum.  Yet we will need to bring in about $15,000 in the next few weeks just to make it through the month of July.  This is the bare minimum required to cover our fixed operating expenses (payroll, rent, utilities, and insurance).

I am requesting that each of you consider your financial support goal for 2011 and look at what you have given so far this year.  If you are able, please contribute this Sunday.  We cannot wait for fall to play catch up with our finances.  C3 currently carries zero debt, and we do not want to be making late payments and incurring penalties.  Our goal is always to be good and faithful stewards of the resources that are entrusted to us for benefit of C3’s ministries.

At C3 our people, our energy, and our love for Jesus are our greatest assets.  But we cannot sustain and coordinate our efforts without a modest level of financial stability.  So please give as you are able to help us not just survive but flourish during these summer months.  As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about C3’s finances.

Sincerely,

Andrew Almquist
