The Miyamotos are almost in their home.  They have received many wonderful donations!  Thank you!

There are a few items they are still in need of.  Please look at the list and let us know if there is something that is in good shape that you could donate.

• Bath Towels
• Bed Linens (2 Queen ; 1 Double)
• House Cleaners (windex, 409, dish soap…)

They have registered at Bed Bath and Beyond for a number of these items.  So if you would like to help in that way you can purchase them from there.  We are planning a house warming shower for them soon.  We will let you know.

We just got word today that some of the fire doors will be in next week.  They are the double doors from the cafe into the large room.  However, we have been told that the fire door for the supply room near the stage is back ordered until Sept. 10th.

Kurt will be talking to the fire inspector to see if we can get a temporary occupancy with the main fire doors installed until we get the last door for the storage room.   We will keep you informed.

Please, pray that we can have the resources and endurance to do what we need to do.

Also, please look to see where you can help with some of the last items that are needed for our occupancy permit.  (see previous posts)

This summer we have had a ton going on.  We have welcomed the Miyamotos, taken many personal vacations, and we are finishing the build out.  Because of the rather chaotic nature of our schedule, we are trying to keep everyone informed.

We will meet at the facility at 11am for a short devotion, time of worship and then we will be dividing into work teams.  Here is a list of items that need to be completed:

Lighting Lamps

The Facility is near completion and we need to set up weekly Clean Teams.  I was thinking 2 families per Saturday could vacuum, clean bathrooms, wipe tables, set up chairs, clean the cafe – a check list will be provided.  If you are interested please contact me (Heather Wood) at info@digitalc3.com.  I will need everyone’s participation in doing this.  Also…if you contact me first you’ll get to request which family you work with…maybe you can make is part of your “B” for BELLS….then maybe you guys can grab dinner afterward “E” in BELLS……maybe you just like the smell of cleaning products…I’m full of good ideas, people!  Seriously, choose one or two Saturdays and email me – PLEASE!!

We will need a big push to complete the facility to get approval for final inspections.  Come join us for a short devotional time (including a blessing for our H.S. graduates as they head off to college) and then help with some work.  We will meet at 11:00am.  If you would like lunch bring a sack lunch or run out to your favorite fast food.

The work to be done:
Install emergency ballasts (2) in fluorescent fixtures (worship)
Install light fixture in grid in hallway above restroom door
Install light fixtures in mechanical room
Complete suspended ceiling in classroom #3 and hallway
Paint entry
Final paint throughout
Install fire extinguisher in worship between rear doors
Install acoustic panel hanger strips
Install acoustic panel grills
Move refrigerator from Almquists to facility – Sunday August22

God is answering prayers for our NAJO (North American Japanese Outreach)!

The Miyamotos have found a nice home in West Bloomfield.  The owners are generously reducing the rent for us!

They will move in on Saturday August 27th.  So if you can help let us know.  We have a fair amount of furniture to move from a few different locations.  We will need not only your muscles but a few trucks and trailers as well.

We are also putting together some ‘showers’ to help with all the small items for their home (i.e. bathroom, kitchen, cleaning supplies).  The Miyamotos have registered in a local store.  We will get you the information for where they have registered and when we will have a party for them.

Please continue to pray for them as they get settled.  And pray too for them as they are up north, near Cadillac, on a retreat with many of the Japanese believers in Michigan for the weekend.  We hope they make some very good contacts.
